MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Marketing & Comms Specialist to create a practical, contemporary Marketing/Comms Strategy. The goal is to grow DPM’s brand visibility, reach and audience engagement - aligned with our newly developed Impact Strategy. The role includes significant collaboration with DPM Staff, and input/feedback from Impact and Fundraising Specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with DPM Staff, and other Specialists (Impact Specialist,  Fundraising & Partnerships Specialist) to align messaging and ensure Strategy cohesion.

  • Conduct a review/assessment of current marketing/public-facing assets, processes and presence across all channels (web, social, public relations, media etc).

  • Produce a contemporary and compelling Marketing & Communications Strategy including:

    • Key Messaging Doc - Articulating DPM’s personality, tone of voice and points of difference

    • Aligning newly developed ‘Impact Story’ messaging across all platforms/outputs.

    • Identifying new platforms, opportunities and plans for engaging audiences

    • Opportunities for strengthening relationships with current audiences

    • Advice on building and managing key relationships (eg. journalists, influencers, PR outlets).

    • Implementation Plan

    • List of Required marketing resources/assets.

Deliverables:

  • Marketing & Communications Review

  • Marketing & Communications Strategy  

  • Outline minimum 3 campaign concepts or suggested activations (include rationale).

Fee: $15,000

Schedule (TBC upon appointment – flexible)

  • July-August: Initial Briefings

  • August: Round Table workshop to look at draft Impact Story and set workplan

  • September - Oct: Draft Strategy delivered. Feedback and input. Final Marketing and Communications Strategy delivered.

*The role is remote (except for the Roundtable workshop in August).

NOTE – In the essence of collaboration we are open to adjusting priorities, schedules and workflows, within the wider objectives the Strategy Development process. All work must be completed by November at latest.
